Official Rules for the Championship series

GENERAL

  1. USERNAMES: Players wishing to participate in K9's championship game MUST register a username and use it to sign up for games. The sole method for tracking player points is through your usernames.
  2. The championship game is an invitational game. You must earn 25 points in order to be invited. Points are earned by participating in regularly scheduled tournaments. (see below)

POINTS

  1. Points are earned by playing in qualified regular tournaments during the year and paying the championship fee of $3.
  2. Players paying the championship fee are entitled to extra chips for that game, equaling 10% of the starting chips.
  3. Points are earned in the following manner:
    1. Five points are awarded for each of the first five games a player participates in.
    2. Additional points are awarded based upon the point payout table found in the payout tables section

MONEY ADDED

  1. All tournament fees collected go to the championship fund.
  2. A trophy of no more than $50 will be purchased using the championship fund. All remaining money is added to the championship game prize pool.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

  1. Structure: The same or very similiar to the World Series of Poker.
  2. The buy in will be $40 with no rebuys.
  3. For every $150 of added money to the championship game, 1 free entry to the championship game will be awarded. Player's accumulated points will be ranked and free entries will be given away for the top points accumulated.
  4. For the purposes of determining the number of free entries awarded, the money spent from the championship fund for any incidentals (such as trophies) will be considered to still be in the prize pool.
  5. All participating tourney games must be scheduled on the K9 website, www.strizver.com/poker.
  6. If appropriate, disputes will be resolved via a vote. Eligible voters will be anyone who has at least 25 points (before 7 people have 25 or more points, the top 7 people with the most points will be the voting pool).
